I finally bought my flight tickets to Amsterdam for the Ching Ming holiday next April!
Here is what I paid for the round-trip ticket: 23202 NTD (about 773 USD under the currency rate 1:30) flying Cathay Pacific Airlines, with one stop at Hong Kong and a flight duration of around 18 hours one way.
我買到的來回機票細節如下：23202 台幣，國泰航空，香港轉機，單程飛行時間約 18 小時。（東南旅行社）
It might not be the best deal, but it’s still a nice bargain, isn’t it?
Actually, I could’ve bought a direct flight ticket at around 24000 TWD (China Airlines, around 12 hours one way), but I was waiting for my new credit card that would give me 2000 TWD in cash back if I booked 3 tickets.
其實我本來可以用 24000 台幣買到一張直飛阿姆斯特丹的機票的（華航，飛行時間約 12 小時），但那個時候我在等新辦的信用卡，買三張機票的話，就可以有 2000 元現金回饋。
After I received the card, the deal was gone. IT WAS GONE!!!! (still vividly remember that heart-stopping second when I saw the new price)
When I think about it now, it was kinda dumb of me to miss out on the deal.
Obviously, the value of the direct flights are usually higher, and I should’ve known to book the tickets the moment I saw the deal.
Anyway, for those who’re planning a trip to Europe and looking out for a good deal, I suggest that you do a price comparison on Skyscanner.
總之，如果你有在計畫要去歐洲，而且想要買到高 CP 值的機票，我建議可以在 Skyscanner 上比價。
You should start looking around eight months before your trip to get a rough idea of the ticket prices and aim to finalize the purchase six months before.
Although it’s possible that you might hear of a better deal after you’ve purchased your ticket, you just have to think that the deal you got was good enough.
It is difficult to predict the prices, and you can’t be sure that the deal you are getting will be the best price.
Just like the saying “the early bird catches the worm”, early birds catch great flight prices. Bear that in mind!
And if you once got any cheap tickets, share the joy with me in the comment section below!
